A coworker's mother has fallen ill, and she'll be out of state for the next few days. As a result, I've no clue what my schedule will be for that time... including Saturday.

Sooooooo... yeah. Not good for me playing DnD.

First I would like to welcome Lenny back to the country (I think he comes back today, maybe he won't be back until tomorrow...Either way). Welcome back to the country. I hope your trip was good fun.

I would also like to remind those playing in my game they have only a very short time left to get their characters in. If the character is not in by the time I get home from work Thursday (around 4:30) they will not be playing in the game. And no, it cannot be mostly done, it muse be complete.

As for the game playing. I'm shooting to start this Saturday, at 6:30. That's for the evil party. The good party will start at 9:00 on the same day. These times are both PM. Now, I would like to ask Lenny if we can play at his house, because it is the easiest place to assemble everyone. If not, that's fine too, just let me know.
Here's the way this will work. The evil party will run from 6:30 until 8:30. At 8:30 I will stop the session and the good party will start at 9:00. The good party will run until 11:00. That is all the time each party gets. I don't want people from the parties getting up and wandering around, it's really annoying and disrespectful to both the other players and the DM. So if you are wandering around your party will accomplish less, and thus will progress less in the story line which could leave them thoroughly unprepared for the final confrontation. So don't do that. EAT BEFORE WE START! I say this ever game and no one ever listens, maybe I should stop saying it.

Now, as for the other party. If people from the party not currently playing decide that they are going to pester anyone in the game playing the party with the pestering member will lose time. So it behooves the players to keep track of each other. I don't mind small things, but someone coming in ever five minutes to relate some amusing story or calling people away from the game to show them something will not be tolerated. Also, be on time (this means everyone). Your party will start without you.

That should be all. Any questions can be directed at either a stuffed platypus or me, but I cannot guarantee answers from the platypus.

we need to have a LAN party i misses the old days of Starcraft and Counter Strike and dystopay and Nick has a New computer it time to run it thou its paces
There is now a deadline for character submissions. It's going to June 1st. It must be in my hand, in my e-mail, or in one of my roleplaying binders. The character must be complete statistically and historically. You can't just have a bunch of numbers, there must be backstory. And it better be good. Don't just say "Character is an adventurer because he likes doing good/evil." Make it somewhat interesting. If I do not have the character by that time you will not be playing unless there is some sort of excuse that you let me know about. And Brian, I don't know if you check your e-mail often, but I sent an invite your-ways too. That's all for now. I'm planning on running on Saturdays like we did with the previous game and would like to start as of the 3rd of June. It'll start early evening because Adrienne probably has work until then. I spoke with Drake, he's clear for that day, so anyone else with employment type jobs let me know if there is a problem. That'll do.

Chadrienne-

I'm assuming you're still going to X3 this evening? I'm assuming you guy's are still cool with picking me from work? Chase, I mentioned it to you... Adrienne I mentioned it to also, and she said she was cool with the plan. Anyways, just come by the station around 11pm and I should be done shortly thereafter.

Try calling me at home so we can coordinate, ok? I'll try and call you guys too.

Don't forget towel day everyone!
It is with a heavy heart that I write the following:
Heidi "Flea's" Grant has passed on today at 11:30 AM at the Del Paso vetrenary hospital.
Many of you only know her as my dog, but some of you had known her as long as you'd known me.
Anyone who spent anytime at the house on Morse knew her all to well.
Never was there a dog so loved as she.
She will be missed.

Update!

I have not forgotten to make the cds from Liam's going away party! My burning software was being funky but now it's fixed so they are made. I have one for Liam and another for Liesel. Did anyone else want a copy? Let me know. When you stick them in your computer they will want to show you a slideshow and install some garbage you don't need. Just open the cd manually and they are all in the folder conviently named "pictures."

Also, Chase and I are planning to see X-men 3 next week at the midnight showing, you should all come too!

Hey, i'm wondering if any of the other Animal Crossing players for DS out there would be interested in starting a "Global Market," especially as the Stalk Market goes... those of you with wi-fi connections take note, each day you only have two chances at high Turnip Prices... but you add two people per day, that's six chances; add two more people, ten chances... anyone else willing?

So I guess I have enough of the D&D idea to post about it.

First off this game idea will be able to accommodate everyone who plays. Yes, that's means you!

So now the idea. It's going to be set in Ebberon and involve characters of Lvl 10. That's right, lvl 10 (omg!). You can play only a few monster races (those with no more than a +1 lvl adjustment OR 1 racial hit die). Both the Book of Vile Darkness and The Book of Exalted Deeds are totally off limits. I mean totally. No feats, no classes, no races, nothing from either of these books may be used.

The game will consist of two parties. Pretty much like two games, and will be run separately. As if they are two different games that in no way involve each other. But they do involve each other. The game will consist of one evil party and one good party. The evil party will be roaming the land ransacking and pillaging while the good party attempts to stop them and repair the damage done by said party. So yeah. There will be a climactic point at which the two parties will meet and duke it out, leaving only one party (or maybe less) at which point there would be a new game. Now I'm also going to add a new element to this entire game, and that is time. Game sessions will be only a certain length each (say 2 or 3 hours). Depending on how much you get done in that time will determine how close the other party is getting to you. If all one party manages in that game session is to drink a single night away then they accomplice very little and fall behind their timeline, thus leaving the other party to gain ground. Part of this is in an effort to get people to not screw around all session and wander off when they should be at playing. Also, it's so that I don't have to stick everyone rigidly to a timeline in the game, and so that one team does not get preference. Both teams will always get equal amounts of time. It depends on the players to accomplish their tasks.

That's about the gist of it. Oh, one other important thing. Psionics and magic will be treated differently. Dispel magic does not effect psionics and vice versa. So this gives room for lots fun powers. And I should warn you that as DM I will take full advantage of this difference in magic and psionics and so should you. Especially Cody (because like me, he thinks psionics rock).

I think that's all. I will be e-mail people their invitations with more details on character specifics. I will allow players to make team requests, but I would suggest everyone make a good character and an evil character because we will need balanced teams, so not everyone can be evil. Also, in an attempt to prevent people from trying to form teams based on players, do not discuss which team you are requesting to be on.

Also, make fully fleshed out characters. Don't just make something that kills everyone in every situation. With 10 levels of advancement I giving you all an opportunity to make rounded characters who have progressed in their respective fields in a way that compliments their personality. Please don't cherry pick. I guess I can post the rest of the information here, though. Use standard lvl 10 money from the DMG. For armor and weapons nothing can have more than a plus 3 enhancement bonus. (Example: A +3 longsword has a +3 enhancement bonus. This means it cannot have any other enhancement. No fire, no shocking, no icy because each of these increases the enhancement bonus. A fire, cold, shocking longsword also have a +3 bonus and thus cannot have any other enhancements either). Same goes for armor. No more than +3. No artifacts (though I don't think any are affordable at lvl ten) and Alignments must have a good/evil descriptor. No chaotic neutral, lawful neutral, or true neutral. I think that's all. If anything else comes up, post comments here or e-mail me. I'll be sending out the invitations tonight, so don't freak when you don't have it by noon.

Please act immediately to save the Internet.

The internet's greatest asset is that it is the ultimate disemination of information. It is the imbodiment of our first amendment right - that to freedom of speech and expression. If any entity - be it the government, businesses, or the like - begins to control the flow of data on the internet, then they are effectively censoring it. Controlling and/or limiting access of information on the web purely because of a financial gratuity is positively abhorent.

Imagine if you will a public library that not only charges its patrons for entering, but actively controlling what they can and cannot browse what is on the shelf. That isn't a center of learning, it is a center of selective information. In an age where we rally to educate young people we are instead selling them out for a few corporations who wish to control a invaluable resource of knowledge and culture.

The internet allows us to go and explore places we cannot venture ourselves, and it allows us to step beyond our mean to immerse ourselves in the culture of our entire world. I urge you to act on behalf of not only Americans but on behalf of our world to allow us to express ourselves and freely explore this bold new frontier which is the internet.

The general consensus <--(we use this word all the time at work and it has slowly slipped into my everyday vocabulary) is that we start up something new and fresh and so I say unto all WE WILL START SOMETHING NEW AND FRESH! But I would like to point out that if the alignment of the current characters is one of the causes of their inability to cooperate then perhaps players should try to make characters that can get along well with each other. Just a suggestion, you know, for party sake.

Ok, so I'm going to flesh out my new idea a little bit more then I'll post it here. That is all after I write my Shakespeare essay. Quit distracting me from my finals!

PS I wrote a Haiku that everyone in the world should enjoy because it is a zombie Haiku. Enjoy.

Head like pudding cup.
Dude, Cody was right.

Check out OC Remix's The Dark Side of Phobos project. Believe it or not, it's a series of remixes of the Doom soundtrack. Not the movie, the game.

And they're actually good.

With the semester coming to a close it is time once again to pass into that magical season called summer. While we may not be able to run carefree through the streets like a wild pack of family dogs, we do indeed get to step away from the institution of academia and spend own days focused on other pursuits. So who's up for D&D?

I know my game is still hanging there and I would like to finish the campaign. All my players of that game up for finishing it? Or do you want to start something new and fresh and full of hookers and blackjack? Let me know.

I was just wondering who has my copy of Deathnote volume 2 and 3.

In other news the PS3 will be launching in November for $500-$600.

AND it will feature the return of the Dual Shock two, convex joysticks and all.

AND the controller will feature a tilt accelerometer device, the same control type featured in the left hand unit of the Wii controller.

The news as well as the following complaints from nintendo fanboys and counter-complaints from people who are too proud to admit they are sony fanboys can be found here
