So, i'd like to suggest that Lenny's Blog be put on the links bar...
If you don't know it, there's a link to it on mine.

God damn it, i've got Genesis stuck in my head, and between that, the theoretical physics
and the detergent floor cleaners i use at work, i think my brain is turning to mush.
There is heated debate as to whether it started out that way.

i don't mean to knock Phil Collins, he's cool and all, but there's only so much i can take!!

ok, then it's settled. Be there around 5 or 6 ish and we'll see what we can do. Someone should probobly get Brain since I don't know when he gets off work. And yeah, see people there. Lenny's exalted would be fun if we can't do evil. ~Hint Hint~

6pm sounds great. Count me in!
I say we don't start until 4-6ish tomorrow. Leaves more time for sleeping. 10:20's not a problem at all, we'll probably leave a little before to let you get ready and all.

Aww, no one wants the Redneck Tree to make an appearance? Hehehe, it's just wrong on so many levels.

Yayy, I'm on da knoll blog now. I feel so loved. Now about saturday, I'm down as always but i have work that day so the latest I can stay is 10:20 which shouldn't be too much of a problem i hope.

Will be working the same shift on Saturday. Maybe later, in fact. At this rate, I'll be not poor soon.
*looks at Adrienne's link... and preemptively splatters his brains on the wall*

if I see that I'll kill myself
I found something that I might add to the Evil Campaign... let me know what you think *evil laugh*

If you guys want me there, i won't be available until around 6:30.
Sorry boys n girl, them's the scrapes.
Try not to miss me too much.

I get off work at 5:45, so I'd be thrilled to get a chance to play this weekend! If you want me, I'm there!
ok, pushed back until 2-0-clock at the moment. It may not happen at all since no one is responding, but it won't start any earlier than 2.

If we could push it back a bit, that'd be cool. I won't be coherient untill maybe..... 2-O-clock or so

As usual i think John's totally overreacting and being overly defensive.
John, knock that shit off.
i think all of us (Myself included; and i've been making a conscious effort)
Will find that life is so much easier when we respond to criticism with humility.
No, it doesn't look like i'll be there Saturday, although if we do work out the thing
with playing later in the evenings, i'll look into changing to an earlier shift, so i could
maybe make it to that session.
i apologize for any inconvenience.

Hi, it's Monday and all that. Ok time to decide. Who will be there for D&D this Saturday? and what time can they be there? because it just might be cancelled. I need everyone to tell me because we may do monster and if one person does not show up for that it will not be played. Adrienne needs to know for evil because she puts alot of work into it and someone deciding not to show up at the last minute ruins it. So let us know asap. I want no bitching Ostermiller if we decide not to play. Brian I would like to know if you're Saturday schedule is temporary or permanant as far as you know because we may have to change playing time becasue of it. Ostermiller you may need to get that permanant schedule if we change the time so be perpared or we will just take you out of the games. Liam, let us know your schedule and if you're even going to make the effort to come. Lenny, will have a big say at when we will play because of his work so you give a time you would like to start so you can get some sleep. I hope that covers everything.

And on another note, Lenny has been invited to the knoll blog now, but we still have to make Cody do something stupid or embarassing before he gets to join.

I think we need to tell Lenny before Friday afternoon that we want Bao...~_^ The bakery is probably close to closing by this point, so, yeah. *Plays world's smallest violin* Sorry, Neko....
so.........how do we go about getting more Bao? someone should talk to Lenny so we can find out how much it is
Saturday Adrienne and I will be down and all that fun stuff. We both have our stats for the Ostermiller thing so we can throw several together like neko and ours and brian but that's up to you. Dali and Tim want to join, dali can be there Saturday Tim can't until next week because he has some big project. Other than that yeah, I think Adrienne has some evil ready, i can do some monster but anyone who still has their little cards with items on them I need back. I think I got neko's, but I'm not sure about anyone elses. Bring them because that's the loot you can get for new characters, like the fire bow that the centaur would probobly want, but if they don't come back no sweat. You'll get muddy rocks from the swamp to fight with. :)

Quack Quack Emu Sound
Roll for initiative, buddy.
I would kill for Bao
No can do on playing late on Saturdays, people. I work 5-11, and I've mentioned this repeatedly. Nothing I can do. I make enough money to pay rent and eat, with a little extra cash on the side. I'm open to other ideas, however, on when we can play. To quote Mr. George,

"So show up if you want to play and be current on the game, or don't show up and lose out."

I realize that people have difficult schedules, and that I'm probably the problem in most peoples eyes. However, I'm also willing to play this as a filler game, or whenever we manage to get people together. Brian, you and I may need to run you seperately for a bit, as I know I have several other players who are dying to play. I'm running three seperate scenarios right now, one for you cody lenny, one for liam, and one for neko. If we do play this weekend, I'll work with you one your particular side story.

I am unavailable Sundays. Besides church in the morning, Sunday is designated "family time." Don't blame me. It's a leftover from my Midwestern heritage, I think. ;)

Later on Saturdays sounds great. Lenny has voiced his strong support... I believe the quote was "I'd be so happy!" I am, in fact, working this Saturday from 10-4. If anyone wants to pick me up from Arden Fair Mall around then, I would scarcely object.

Adrienne, I loved your D&D adventure. I have one recommendation about your ST/GM/DM-ing style (we should just pick an abbreviation...): avoid using the phrase "going to" when describing actions. Makes it sound like what you're describing is about to happen. Instead, I would suggest using the present tense. Much more energy involved. Case in point:

1) "He's going to quack and hit you in the head with the mallet."
2) "He quacks and hits you in the head with the mallet."

Whammo.

Wednesday, October 15, 2003

Thanks guys, I guess Chase was right when he told me I didn't suck horribly at DMing. =)

Sundays are bad for Brian... I think we've figured out why we play on Saturdays. =P

Monday, October 13, 2003

Well, there we go.
I'm not down with Church, so my day of rest is allways open, and fridays don't work for me usally
Adrienne, you do a superb job, methinks! It's not like I'm a veteran GM...I can count the games I've run on one, maybe two, hands. Even then, we know that they can range from the spectacular (ask Liam about Lances run in with the technocracy...or Rio Exalted Version 1) to the goddam awful (Liam and werewolf, anyone?). I've found that writing a general overview with a handful of adventure seeds is much easier then overly detailed notes. So, like I said Adrienne, your perfectly good at running DnD so far.

As for when we're going to play...I like the idea of a Friday game either here at my apartment or Lennys, but I know Neko has stuff he does on Friday evenings. As for Saturays...well, I have to work at some point usually. Perhaps Sundays? Otherwise, we can look at my game for picking up slack and taking the pressure off Chadrienne. Other ideas, anyone?

P.S. Kudos to Mein Fuher Powers on his positive influence on "Mr. Mountain Dew's" life...maybe you should give Rush Limbaugh a call, Liam! :P

CU @ THE LEARNIN SHAK OR THIS SATURDAY!

Ostermiller
you do a fairly good job for being new! Adlibing takes many moons of practice, but you'll get the hang of it eventually.
I'll play too. You'll have my stats on Saturday; if you need them earlier just let me know.

About the playing on weekdays... Chase and I have work and if we rush the earliest we could play would be 6pm (7 if we have dinner) Mon-Fri. Friday after 7 is a good possibility since I think we're done with the other game we were in. Or maybe we could have the games later on Saturday? (People are always a little late anyway) ;) I don't know how well that will work with Lenny's sleep schedule though.

As for the campaigns themselves I am HORRIBLE at improvisation. It takes me about a week of planning and note jotting for one scene (which have been known to stretch for 2 sessions). So, about 2 times a month would be a good schedule for me to run it. Yes, I'm lame (and lazy) but I'm also new at this so no one gets to give me a bad time about it. =P
Sure, I'll play. I'm just gonna email you my stats and Adrienne should have an answer soon too. That's all.

Yes, I will be at DND next Saturday! YAY! Oh yeah, CHADRIENNE, if ye be wantin in on Exalted, I'd kinda like a yay or nay by then. Im not worried about playing you all together so much, but I'd like an idea of where you two stand. Mr. Armitage, Lenny, and Cody are already in play...with Neko and Mein fuher Powers in *cough* development. Actually, I haven't figure their character niches yet, but it would help alot if i got a head count.

thanks!

yar.... ok guys, Brandon and Joe just got in town from their respective armed forces and I want to see them while they're here. so I "might" not be along.... but CALL ME!!! cause I still WANT to go, but if somthings come up, then I'll let you know
I voted for Arnold...er...Governor Sch....Arnold. And he won, which means I won my first election. Anyway, I don't know what we'll play this weekend because Ostermiller wont be there, so yeah. Someone suggest something before 11 tomorrow when we meet.

On another note, has anyone (Mostly Liam and Brian) heard from Becca? She vanished, I emailed her a while ago and she never replied. Someone know something, please.

i didn't vote for Arnold, but he won anyway.

Eew.

Don't you have to be able to pronounce a state's name to be allowed to govern it?
i guess not.
Wishful thinking.

Well, i'm not going to be there this weekend, as usual, so try not to miss me too much,
but if there's any way we could get a session going in the afternoon during the week,
i'd be there every time; i have class until like 2:45-ish, and then again at 7 if it's a M or a W.
i know it's not all about me, but i've noticed more an more people at Lenny's around those
times on those days anyway, so...

Otherwise, stuff's cool here, further bulletins as events warrant.

I NEED a stable player list, I flip out otherwise

Tuesday, October 07, 2003

*Shrugs*...If I remember correctly, we always were up in the air if we were going to play...and ended up confirming our plans for the next week at the end of the session. Oh and Chase, 12 dollars once and a while for some import dvds isnt a bad deal....losing close to 80 dollars AND not getting to play DnD/Exalted/Star Wars IS. So nyah! ^_^ Anyways, I'll go talk to my boss when I see him on Thursday.

P.S. I did the whole absentee ballot thing for Ahnuld days ago...but, Nick is right. We have a buttload of players, only some of whom show up all the time (yes im guilty of this too!). So, like, I think we need to firm up our rosters for those STs/DMs/GMs who want a stable list...
I Voted! Did you?! ~points at people in a way that makes them want to run out and vote for Arnold S. if they haven't already.~

And Ostermiller, we do play consistently. Adrienne and I took one week off, but we have yet to have Neko, Brian, Lenny, Adrienne, I not show up (Except vacation week last week). Not everyone is in every game so they're not alway there, and if you don't get a consistent schedule and don't show up, we'll play without you. So show up if you want to play and be current on the game, or don't show up and lose out. And you could always save some money by not buying masked Rider DVD's. You have informed us about this Saturday, good job. Do it for next week too if you're not gonna have a consistent schedule, otherwise we'll plan to play without you.

Quack Quack Emu Sound

P.S. VOTE!
hooray! and it's begun!
Okay, this is how my job works. They put out the schedule for the next week every friday...example: the week of 10/12-10/18 wll be posted on the 10th. Therefore, I know about two before a game session if I wll be available for the next one. So, if everyone will be consistently and we play consistently, I will speak with my manager about working a more consistent scehdule.

Monday, October 06, 2003

Ok, we'll organize, but that would mean some other people telling us if they are or are not going to be there. Dolly and Tim are only in the evil campaigne so they only come when we're playing that. So tell Adrienne, Neko and I what you want to play ahead of time and if you will be there, so we can plan accordingly. I do seem to remeber a post from a couple weeks ago that asked who was gonna be there, but it didn't get many responses....consider if you replied all of you out there who want to organize a little better.

Quack Quack Emu Sound
As for scheduling, I can say that until we have a more consistent yay or nay on gaming...I'm not going to kill my paycheck and my chance for more hours by restricting my saturdays at work.... ~_^ (Sorry...poor enuff as it is) Oh yeah, and I won't be playing this weekend... somebody was supposed to have Saturday off but didnt get it so i got the day shift...but, yeah. If we can set up a schedule, I'll see if I can fanagle myself into a permanent evening shift for Saturdays.

Sunday, October 05, 2003

ok, so here's the deal. I think we need to sit down and discuss what's going on on saturdays, maybe even have a schedual or somthing? I'm all for chaos, but we've become really unorganized as of late. We also have a number of us who don't come on a regular basis. When do Tim and Dolly come? they seem to only be there once in a blue moon. I want to be able to plan more Star Wars, but I need Mo when we do so planing is good. Plus we have what, 3 games going? Not that I'm complaining, but I do think we need a TID bit more organization. .......Like 'ya do...........
Consider it striken.
We can strike that last post i made, okay?

It was written while i wasn't in the best sort of mood,
and just because of that mood and because Fridays don't
"Signal the end of the week" for me, are no good reasons
bring down the good cheer that they followed,
i'd like to say My Bad, and to have the post taken down.
It's not the sort of sentiment that The Knoll is about.

You hate FF7?... I don't think I can speak with you anymore... *holds back from giving mad stabbity*

There's something wrong when a record label's slogan is "we are not evil"
ok, yeah. So this Saturday Adrienne and I are not D&Ding. in fact, we won't even be at Lenny's so this is everyone's offical warning that we won't be playing. The Saturday after is up in the air, but we'll probobly be playing again then. So that's that.
