Hey everybody. So yeah, now that things have calmed down a bit maybe we can play some more of those RPG's we're so addicted to. But I want to know if there is still interest in those games or if they should just be buried by the side of the road where they will rot until the winds blow dirt upon their bloated and decaying corpses until animal control comes out to scoop them up with a shovel only to find that they have come back to life with zombie rabies...I really don't know where I'm going with that, but yeah, to my players in Dragon Blooded, Elder Lunars, and D&D, let me know if you still want to play or if you would rather not continue the story.

10.5.07 UPDATE: Both the Slim's website and Tickets.com list the show as sold out. I'm gonna keep checking back just in case, but we might have missed the boat.

Which is a shame, because I picked up Dark Passion Play, their new CD, and it's superb. Check my blog for a review soon.

Light Rail 20th Anniversary Celebration

The following is a summary of events happening this Friday, September 14.

1. FREE LIGHT RAIL RIDES ALL DAY
Thanks to the sponsorship of AKT Development, Woodside Homes and Greenbriar development, you can ride light rail free all day and night on Friday.

2. PRESS CONFERENCE (9:30 a.m. - 11th & K streets)
Join us for cake as we kick-off the 20th Anniversary of Light Rail at Cathedral Square. We have a wonderful line-up of VIP's scheduled to speak at the kick-off. Scheduled to speak include Congresswoman Doris Matsui, State Senator Dave Cox, Assemblymembers Dave Jones and Roger Niello, City Councilman Ray Tretheway and County Supervisor Roger Dicksinson. The event will last an hour. Did I mention there will be free cake?

3. COMMUNITY FESTIVAL / MUMBO GUMBO CONCERT (11 a.m. - 1 p.m. - State Capitol North Lawn)
Join a few hundred other people as we celebrate light rail's anniversary with a free concert by Mumbo Gumbo on the North Lawn of the State Capitol. The concert is sponsored by Siemens Transportation.

In addition to the concert, we will have over 25 booths from our community partners sharing information on their products. Also, there will be free cake at this event as well.


You hear about all sorts of crazy things working for the state.
