Please act immediately to save the Internet.

The internet's greatest asset is that it is the ultimate disemination of information. It is the imbodiment of our first amendment right - that to freedom of speech and expression. If any entity - be it the government, businesses, or the like - begins to control the flow of data on the internet, then they are effectively censoring it. Controlling and/or limiting access of information on the web purely because of a financial gratuity is positively abhorent.

Imagine if you will a public library that not only charges its patrons for entering, but actively controlling what they can and cannot browse what is on the shelf. That isn't a center of learning, it is a center of selective information. In an age where we rally to educate young people we are instead selling them out for a few corporations who wish to control a invaluable resource of knowledge and culture.

The internet allows us to go and explore places we cannot venture ourselves, and it allows us to step beyond our mean to immerse ourselves in the culture of our entire world. I urge you to act on behalf of not only Americans but on behalf of our world to allow us to express ourselves and freely explore this bold new frontier which is the internet.
