So I guess I have enough of the D&D idea to post about it.

First off this game idea will be able to accommodate everyone who plays. Yes, that's means you!

So now the idea. It's going to be set in Ebberon and involve characters of Lvl 10. That's right, lvl 10 (omg!). You can play only a few monster races (those with no more than a +1 lvl adjustment OR 1 racial hit die). Both the Book of Vile Darkness and The Book of Exalted Deeds are totally off limits. I mean totally. No feats, no classes, no races, nothing from either of these books may be used.

The game will consist of two parties. Pretty much like two games, and will be run separately. As if they are two different games that in no way involve each other. But they do involve each other. The game will consist of one evil party and one good party. The evil party will be roaming the land ransacking and pillaging while the good party attempts to stop them and repair the damage done by said party. So yeah. There will be a climactic point at which the two parties will meet and duke it out, leaving only one party (or maybe less) at which point there would be a new game. Now I'm also going to add a new element to this entire game, and that is time. Game sessions will be only a certain length each (say 2 or 3 hours). Depending on how much you get done in that time will determine how close the other party is getting to you. If all one party manages in that game session is to drink a single night away then they accomplice very little and fall behind their timeline, thus leaving the other party to gain ground. Part of this is in an effort to get people to not screw around all session and wander off when they should be at playing. Also, it's so that I don't have to stick everyone rigidly to a timeline in the game, and so that one team does not get preference. Both teams will always get equal amounts of time. It depends on the players to accomplish their tasks.

That's about the gist of it. Oh, one other important thing. Psionics and magic will be treated differently. Dispel magic does not effect psionics and vice versa. So this gives room for lots fun powers. And I should warn you that as DM I will take full advantage of this difference in magic and psionics and so should you. Especially Cody (because like me, he thinks psionics rock).

I think that's all. I will be e-mail people their invitations with more details on character specifics. I will allow players to make team requests, but I would suggest everyone make a good character and an evil character because we will need balanced teams, so not everyone can be evil. Also, in an attempt to prevent people from trying to form teams based on players, do not discuss which team you are requesting to be on.

Also, make fully fleshed out characters. Don't just make something that kills everyone in every situation. With 10 levels of advancement I giving you all an opportunity to make rounded characters who have progressed in their respective fields in a way that compliments their personality. Please don't cherry pick. I guess I can post the rest of the information here, though. Use standard lvl 10 money from the DMG. For armor and weapons nothing can have more than a plus 3 enhancement bonus. (Example: A +3 longsword has a +3 enhancement bonus. This means it cannot have any other enhancement. No fire, no shocking, no icy because each of these increases the enhancement bonus. A fire, cold, shocking longsword also have a +3 bonus and thus cannot have any other enhancements either). Same goes for armor. No more than +3. No artifacts (though I don't think any are affordable at lvl ten) and Alignments must have a good/evil descriptor. No chaotic neutral, lawful neutral, or true neutral. I think that's all. If anything else comes up, post comments here or e-mail me. I'll be sending out the invitations tonight, so don't freak when you don't have it by noon.

Rules Clarification: It is actually impossible to play a monster race with one racial hit die. If you assign class levels to a monster with one hit die you replace the racial hit die with the class hit die.

Well, for that clarification, you get 1d4 extra hp to your character.

Also, Cody is invited too, but I don't seem to have his current e-mail address. Cody, or someone send it to me and then he can be invited too.
