* I've never seen Fair spelt in that manner, but that's what the flyer says - shouldn't it be Faire?

And by the by, until relatively recently in the language's history, the english Y and I were used near interchangeably. The history of the letter Y is actually very interesting, and learning it is the source of my habit of dotting my Y's.

And when, again, was spelling actually standardized? I think it was pretty loose for a while, there.

loL, Around the time literacy rates started getting standard. Imagine that. Of course that wouldn't have been a problem if we'd had a perfectly phonetic language, like any of the oriental ones. ;)
