Liam, I think that your druid may have to be an animal supremacist. Druids get their spells from nature so you would need to not be killing peaceful animals (peaceful humans or PCs on the other hand...).
... or we can keep your idea and try adjusting the spells a little bit like we did for Brian's pally (I'm not sure how the latter will work and if it will be worth the trouble).
